Hopefully by now you have gathered three things about me. My name, what I do and how much I love what I do. If you want to know some more about me, I have condensed my life story so far into a few paragraphs below. Take a deep breath...
I was born in Worcester, UK and lived the first 19 years of my life in the small town of Malvern, Worcestershire.
Up until the age of 18, I always thought that my profession would be in Music. I play guitar, piano and drums amongst other various instruments so went to college to study for a BND in Music Technology. After finishing the course and disappearing on a UK tour with a singer songwriter for 2 weeks, various recording sessions and working full time as a guitar teacher; I had a realisation; I wasn’t enjoying it anymore.
That was the point in my life that I had to make a big decision. Either, grit my teeth and go with my choice of career in music, or keep it as a hobby and find another creative path to follow.
I chose to find another path to follow which instinctively due to tinkering with computers as a boy was web design. I have always had a great appreciation for great design, a good design seems to light a spark in my mind that inspires and gives me enjoyment to use the particular product. So I wanted to give this feeling to others, and try to learn what makes great design.
I am also a web developer; this satisfies my need to tinker with things. My parents would regularly find me in a corner with a screw driver lodged in the VCR trying to figure out how it worked. I still get like this with code, the need to understand how something works, why it works, and how I can make it work better.
So, here I am now, creating great looking and functional web sites and applications and enjoying every minute of it. When one day ends, I look forward to the next and I wouldn’t change what I do for anything.
